About us

Chemapol Nordic was established in 1970 as a joint venture between the Czech company Chemapol Ltd (today UnipetrolGroup) and Beijerinvest AB in Stockholm, both of which had jointly traded since the end of the 1950s.

Until 2004 the Swedish founder, Dr Anders Wall, controlled 49 percent of the company through G&L Beijer Import & Export AB in Stockholm.

At the end of 2004 Beijer Import & Export aquired the Unipetrol part and controlled 100 percent of Chemapol Nordic and its subsidiaries in Denmark, Finland and the Czech Republic.

In April 2011 AmphoChem Group acquired the business activities in Scandinavia and in the Czech Republic from Beijer Import & Export and Chemapol Nordic is now a trading division of AmphoChem AB.

Unipetrol is the 3rd largest company in the Czech Republic now owned by PKN Orlen in Poland. In spite of the change of ownership, Chemapol Nordic has extensive contacts with the PKN Orlen and Unipetrol companies.
